Clothing and Accessory Exchange Parties

Hello ladies,

When your tight on cash, and your wishing for some new clothing, but can't afford, your probably wondering what are you going to do to add a little spice to your wardrobe?

Well here's how to get a quick fix, go through your existing wardrobe and accessories, and see what your not wearing or they are sightly worn but still in good condition, and you can live without.

Send out an invitation to all your fashionable girlfriends and ask them to go through their clothing and accessories, and invite them over for a clothing and accessory exchange party.

Make your party chic, by putting out some finger foods, a refreshing drink like a punch. So that way when the girls are trying on the clothing that they are interested in or trying to make outfits out of multiple pieces, the girls who are watching the little fashion show and who are waiting for their turn, can mingle and relax by enjoying the ambiance that you have set up for them.

You can turn your bedroom in to ultimate changing room, just by adding additional mirrors, lay out all clothing and accessories that the girls have brought with them, so everyone can see it and touch it and fully make up an outfit before they are a 100% sure they want to try it on. Turn your room into your own little boutique.

These parties give the word hand-me-down clothing, new meaning and life, because it is not the typical way to get used goods, so they will be looked at in a different light with no stigma attached.

The girls will leave happy and won't be ashamed to wear the pieces from your party.

Let your friends enjoy the clothing you have been ignoring!

Overloaded Drawers

So ladies, we have all cleaned out and organized our cupboards and dressers. Now it's time to clean out your burrows. The steps are the same as see in my post in Clutter and Confused.

Here are some added suggestions;

After taking out all your articles from your burrows, lay everything out so you can see it.

For your unmentionables, add some tissue paper to the drawer, so they won't snag on the bottom or sides of the drawer. When putting them back in to you burrow, neatly fold them and stack them on top of each other, but organize them in styles and  with what outfit you wear them. Also you can find burrow organizers at ikea, to properly make this drawer neat and keep it that way for a long time. Never fold your bra in half and put the cups inside each other as this will deform your bra, always try to lay them flat with the cups up. So that way you can stack them all inside each other, if you have the room make a drawer just for them.

For your other garments, like pjs, tops, and socks and casual;

I like to assign different drawers for all of the above, so I never mix them together. This way it all stays organized and I know exactly what is each drawer.

You may choose what order you want your drawers to be in, but I will let you know how mine is laid out,

I have 2 burrows, one has 5 drawers the other 4;

In my 5 drawer burrow;

my 1st one is all my unmentionables
my 2nd one is my pjs
my 3rd is my dressy/going out tops
my 4th is my summer shorts, which I change out when its winter to my winter wear
my 5th is my work-out clothes

in my 4 drawer burrow;

my 1st one is my bras
my 2nd is my socks
my 3rd is my casual tops
my 4th is my summer tank tops/ mixed with more dressier ones

I keep everything neat by folding them all the same way and stacking them in to piles

I really hope is visual will help you out when you are organizing your burrows.
